Colin was raised by a style-conscious family in Massachusetts, where his zeal for the fashion industry began at a young age. His greatest inspiration, his grandmother, taught him the importance of clothing and looking good. She exposed him to designers and greatly nurtured his creative side. Growing up Colin was unsure whether his love for fashion could translate into a professional career. As such, Colin attended Amherst College and received his degree in Psychology. Upon graduation, Colin decided to return to his first love, move to New York City and pursue a career in fashion. For years, Colin nurtured his craft and learned about his profession from every angle. From interior design, where he was hands on with everything from creating textiles to adding his sought after style to amazing homes and events. In 2008, Colin parlayed his acute fashion sense with his love for the luxury lifestyle, and founded Planet Style Concierge. A lifestyle company based out of New York and Los Angeles, Planet Style Concierge doesn't just create fabulous wardrobes but fabulous lifestyles. Taking all he had learned throughout his career, Colin wanted to give clients a "total style source", a service that could style their wardrobe but also their home or corporate event. Some of the company's most notable achievements include getting clients rare Hermes Birkin bags, reservations at the notoriously impossible to book Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong, and couture gowns made in half the normal time.

After achieving success with Planet Style Concierge, Colin recently made the transition to Colin Megaro, LLC. Colin Megaro, LLC focuses more on luxury as it relates to how one looks. From celebrity red carpet styling to wardrobe editing of some of America's top executives and socialites Colin Megaro has become a fixture on the fashion scene. What drives him? Some of Colin's greatest professional achievements include appearances on "Yes We Love Hollywood" and WE tv's "I Do Over," as well as being featured on MyStyle.com and hosting events for Ivanka Trump, Giorgio Armani, Erica Courtney, and Gucci. In addition to serving as a celebrity wardrobe stylist and fashion consultant, his creative genius has been tapped in a variety of other roles, including serving as the lead stylist on several independent films and as both the stylist and producer for the promotional photo shoots of numerous top studios nationwide.

Philanthropy is another driving force in Colin's life, as he is actively involved with GLAAD, Metropolitan Museum Young Associates, Metropolitan Opera Young Associates, Jeffrey Fashion Cares, and the Northstar Fund. Colin has received accolades for his participation with GMHC and the Hetrick Martin Institute.

You can't control how you are perceived but you can always control how you are presented, that is the motto that Shakira Polite has lived by since her love affair with fashion began. Born and raised in Queens, New York she was exposed to fashion from a very early age. Her mother would often take her along while shopping whether it was up and down Fifth Avenue or raiding racks at vintage shops. She saw how women walked and even talked differently depending on what they wore. How clothing made them feel confident. It was then she realized clothes were magical, being able to completely transform a person's look and mood.

Shakira made the difficult decision to skip college, putting her plans of becoming an attorney to the side to follow her passion. After high school Shakira tried her hand at designing, helping to create luxurious pieces for a close group of friends at their request. Sketching didn't come naturally to her and she soon lost interest. But there was no denying her keen eye for making people look and feel amazing. Shakira turned to retail as an outlet for her creativity. She began her career in the luxury retail market with textiles and interiors, absorbing the use of fabrics and colors and translated that to clothing. Working in retail gave her great insight into the struggles that everyday women face when it comes to their bodies and getting dressed

Her ability to not only articulate but simplify fashion to the masses has made her an invaluable asset to her clients and to the Colin Megaro brand. From wardrobe management, to personal shopping/styling and corporate gifting, Shakira uses her expert knowledge and love for fashion to give something special to everyone she works with.
